Sound Familiar ?

Seeking matches for Anita Jain

It's that stage of life, fellas. I know that the majority of this blog's members are sick-and-tired of this stuff. So I thought to myself, "why not give them some more ?"

I initially braced myself for the typical ABCD rant against fobs and des but by the end I was feeling sorry for her. Those of you who have just opened a new browser window and are typing her an email proposing marriage, don't bother. Yours truly already on the case.

Hey,
This blog seemed interesting for an occasional browse, until this pathetic post was put up. Why is a blog that is sporting articles on varied and interesting issues, like Gully cricket, Ashbery, Amul ads, Modern Music, Vikram Chandra also slapping a pedestrian version of Oprah(!!) on the reader??Such trite points, such done deals, such a BORING perspective-Chaprajilla, after the multidimensional web persona that you have developed, this one does you no good;except perhaps show that you possess hormones.
And what about the two gems that are comments on this "piece"! Arranged marriages, relationships, courtship, looove-man, aren't you overdosed with this stuff until the sweetener is oozing out of your sweat glands?! Hardly do you need a blog that seems to be made of intelligent, broad thinking individuals, spouting sentiments off Sex and the City, with not even good enough writing to sound like it. The second comment might just have many layers-it can't be that idiotic and mean it!
Seriously, people, you've lost one reader for sure, and without further delay, stop putting off others who dont like their intelligence to be insulted.

Posting an article on some confused, frivolous and self-indulgent nut who has more money than some 3rd world states' annual budgets and more time than Uranus's revolution is MOronic, not Ironic. Other than your comments C.J., i dont understand where the irony was! Or were you banking on a savior that would swoop down in a pink cape and help you unveil the irony with your comments? And how can you explain the first two comments on the piece-irony or ire-ony!!

Sorry I disappointed you. It's just too difficult to come up with interesting stuff everyday. Ever tried it yourself ?

Sorry. We are like this only.

Boy! Anonymous flaming! This baby blog has grown up. If anonymous people are coming here for the sublime moments or the rage venting, I would think "our job here is done".

When you've been around for as long as I have (2 months) you get used to it.

THis is a different Anonymous...i mean a "Anonymous" DIFFERENT from the one who had taken some sort of offense to this article...Take it easy Chaprajilla...that guy is probably one of the guys Anita mentioned in her post...There is nothign wrong with ur post...and it is funny as usual...keep it up...

That said..."pinkanpie" is probably the first indian-american, that I have come across, to call herself an ABCD...Bravo!

While indian-american and ABCD are two different categories, I have come acorss many indi-amru's who are anything but confused. But Anita is one hell of a ABCD. How else will you call someone who compares her potential boyfriend or date with of all people a boody Shah Rukh Khan?

Its kinda hard to sympathise with the author when she herself is being hypocritical. When she was younger, she was whoring around with men of all nationalities, and suddenly when it comes to marriage, how come she wants to find the perfect Indian man and lamenting about the faults of all the Indian men out there ? If she is oh-so-progressive and liberated, why can't she find some like minded american or european dude and marry him?
