The beauty is that stupid, irony-free, mainstream news media is
reporting it as if its a serious lawsuit/accusation from Steely Dan.
Next thing you know, Mr Owen C is issuing denials about having heard
the song!! Man, Becker and Fagen are pure hilarious.

This is surreal. I had seen the articles in NYT and Chicago Tribune last week and got the impression that there really was some serious copyright issue. Should have checked the Steely Dan site first ...
So these are the kind of harsh trips that can sometimes go down when journalists allow themselves to get involved in stuff that is not spiritually aligned for them at all levels.
