Just wanted to cite influences of this artiste as being the early works of lick/pops whose shadow shines through all his current work.
Yeah, the mess-table conversations tended to be on quite a high plane, intellectually, especially when that duo was around. I think the Saras mess was a modern day version of the Drones of Wooster and co.
I still use Pops' legendary chana-bhatura incident to regale people at dinner.
Nothing gets the appetite of the guests going better.
